How do I map my first control?
Move your pointer into the Capture Zone on the right side of the app, then press any button on your device. A control card will appear. From there you can assign a Global command, keystroke, or App Action.
Why isn't my device showing up?
Make sure your device is connected and recognized by macOS. Control Flow uses IOHIDManager to detect devices — if macOS sees it, Control Flow should too. Try reconnecting the device. Some Bluetooth devices may take a moment to appear after connecting.
Why aren't my App Actions firing?
Control Flow requires Accessibility permission to send keystrokes to other apps. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility and make sure Control Flow is enabled. Also make sure the correct app is in focus when you press the button.
Does Control Flow work with any mouse or device?
Yes — any device macOS recognizes as a HID input device. This includes USB and Bluetooth mice, macro pads, presentation remotes, gaming controllers, and scroll wheels. If macOS sees it, Control Flow can map it.
What's included in the free tier?
The free tier includes up to 5 active controls and full access to the Communication Suite — MS Teams, Slack, Zoom, and Google Meet App Actions. No time limit, no trial.
What does the $9.99 Unlock include?
The one-time Unlock removes the 5-control limit so you can map as many controls as you want across all your devices. It does not include App Actions for premium apps.
What does the Pro subscription include?
Pro ($4.99/month) includes the full App Actions catalog — 18 apps across Creative, Development, Productivity, Audio, and Browser categories — plus unlimited controls. New apps are added regularly.
How do I restore my purchases on a new Mac?
Open Control Flow and tap Restore Purchases in the Access section at the bottom left. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Does Control Flow collect any data?
No. Control Flow collects zero data. No analytics, no telemetry, no network requests. Everything stays on your Mac. No account is required.
